From brown pelicans to a pod of dolphins to a US Coast Guard flyby to a most brilliant moon-down, I was operating on sensory overload as I strung together the Gulf Islands National Seashore.

It’s always a pleasure reading your posts of your travels to see what you’re experiencing and where you are along your journey. Seeing our country like you have from rivers is an extraordinary way to America. River towns are special, no matter what river or the size of the city. It’s the mystique of the water, the views, the wildlife, and you get to experience it like no American ever has. Good luck my friend and I hope we meet again some day.
Hey there, Bob — thanks so much for your insight and messages. I find myself missing you and Cape as well. Hoping to have a chance to return for a possible visit here soon — I’ll be re-routing my way north to catch the Ohio back at Paducah. Will be in touch.
